In Las Vegas, for the ConExpo-Con/Agg 2026 show, Mack Trucks did not come to make up the numbers. The American brand is unveiling two major new products: an all-new vocational tractor unit, the Keystone, and the latest evolution of its iconic Granite. Two trucks, the same DNA: robustness, efficiency and the ability to withstand tough terrain.

Mack Keystone: the new tractor unit targeting the construction site… and the highway

The Keystone is Mack’s major strategic new product. A Class 8 tractor unit designed for construction, forestry and vocational applications, capable of combining road and difficult terrain without slowing down.

Increased ground clearance, optimised approach angle, reinforced suspension: everything is designed to operate where the road becomes secondary. For the first time, Mack will offer this category of vocational tractor unit in certain international markets, particularly in Latin America. A clear sign of the model’s global ambitions.

Under the bonnet, we find the Mack MP13 developing up to 540 hp, combined with the mDRIVE HD automated transmission. The brand announces up to a 6% fuel consumption improvement compared with the Pinnacle, without sacrificing anything in terms of robustness. The Keystone adopts the architecture shared with the Pioneer, Anthem and Granite, with Mack Protect driver assistance systems, Mack Connect telematics included for five years and an interior inspired by the Pioneer, focused on comfort and ergonomics.

Available in 6x4, 8x4 and 8x6 configurations, in day cab or sleeper versions, the Keystone will be open for orders in the third quarter of 2026. A tractor unit that embraces its versatility and fully intends to become the new benchmark for demanding environments.

Mack Granite: forged to take the punishment, designed to last

At the same time, Mack is evolving its iconic Granite model. Here, there is no marketing revolution, but concrete improvements.

The first major evolution: a cab made entirely of galvanised steel. The objective is simple: better resistance to corrosion, bad weather and years on construction sites. In construction, quarrying or public works applications, structural longevity is not a minor detail.

Another new feature: the ImpactShield windscreen, announced as being twice as resistant to impacts and five times more resistant to scratches. Less downtime, fewer replacements, better-controlled TCO. Out in the field, that matters.

On the mechanical side, the Granite adopts the new model-year 2027 MP13, still coupled with the mDRIVE HD. The result: more power, more torque and up to a 3% improvement in fuel efficiency compared with the previous version equipped with the MP8.

In clear terms, the Granite is not looking to win people over with words. It wants to last, take the punishment and get the job done. And on a construction site, that is exactly what is expected of it.

With the Keystone and Granite, Mack confirms one thing: in Vegas, the American manufacturer has chosen to play the muscle card… and that of industrial consistency.
