Mack Trucks extends its partnership with NASCAR
As part of this expanded agreement, NASCAR is adding 11 new Mack Pioneer 76-inch High-Roof Sleeper tractors to its fleet, with their first appearance scheduled during Speedweeks in Daytona, ahead of the legendary Daytona 500.
The Pioneer: Mack’s new highway flagship
Now in production since 2025, the Pioneer represents the most aerodynamic and fuel-efficient highway truck ever developed by Mack Trucks, delivering up to 11% fuel savings compared to previous generations.
The models specifically configured for NASCAR are powered by the 515 hp MP13 engine paired with the mDRIVE 12-speed overdrive automated transmission.
On the comfort side, the 76-inch sleeper cab features the FlexSuite system with a premium bunk — a key asset to support the intense logistical pace of the NASCAR season.
Safety and onboard technologies
Each tractor is equipped with the Mack Protect Premier package, including: • Forward collision warning • Adaptive cruise control • Automatic emergency braking • Lane departure warning • Lane change assist
The fleet also features digital camera mirrors, enhancing both aerodynamics and visibility, along with an emissions-free cab cooling system during rest periods.

With a season spanning 10 months and 36 races across the United States, NASCAR relies on these trucks every week to transport equipment, technologies, and infrastructure between circuits. A partner for nearly a decade, Mack remains a strategic behind-the-scenes player, ensuring the championship’s reliability and operational continuity.
