IVECO Opens a New Chapter in Turin

TruckStop Was at the Heart of IVECO Experience 2026
Published on July 15, 2026 by Fabien Calvet

Turin (Italy). More than a presentation of new vehicles, IVECO wanted to make its “IVECO Experience 2026” event a true statement of intent. Over four days, in the iconic setting of the Officine Grandi Riparazioni (OGR), the Italian brand brought together more than 2,000 guests from around the world. Among them was TruckStop, with Fabien Calvet, Editor-in-Chief and Vice President of the International Truck of the Year jury, who was on site to discover the manufacturer’s new direction in preview.

The objective was clear: to show that IVECO no longer wants to be just a truck manufacturer, but to become a global partner for professional mobility. This evolution is summed up by a new signature: “Spirito in Movimento.”

A brand that wants to sell much more than trucks

The message delivered by IVECO’s executives goes far beyond simply presenting a new vehicle range. The manufacturer now intends to support transport operators throughout the entire life of the vehicle: financing, connectivity, predictive maintenance, fleet management, driver loyalty, and even training. This strategy directly addresses the current concerns of transport companies, which are facing rising operating costs and a shortage of drivers. This evolution is built around three pillars: design, user experience, and human support, which now structure the brand’s entire philosophy.

A deeply modernised 2026 range

The star of this edition is, of course, the new generation of the S-Way, Daily and Eurocargo, accompanied by the entire electric range. While the design evolves with greater personality, it is above all the work carried out on efficiency that attracts attention. The new S-Way claims up to 11% lower fuel consumption, thanks to a series of improvements affecting the xCursor 13 engine, aerodynamics, the driveline and predictive driving assistance systems. Added to this is compliance with the latest European safety regulations through new driver monitoring systems and lane keeping assistance.

A cab designed as a true living space

Beyond performance, IVECO continues its work on driver comfort. The new driving position is even closer to that of a passenger car, with a more compact steering wheel, a fully configurable digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch central touchscreen. The sleeping area has not been forgotten, offering several mattress options, a wide range of accessories (coffee machine, microwave, television), and even the possibility of monitoring the outside environment via the vehicle’s cameras from inside the cab during overnight stops. This evolution reflects the importance given to drivers’ daily lives and, according to Fabien’s experience, the overall perceived quality has improved significantly.

Digital technology becomes a profitability driver

The other major development concerns connected services. The completely redesigned IVECO ON portal now centralises all fleet data: fuel consumption, vehicle location, vehicle availability, driver monitoring and predictive maintenance.

The manufacturer is also highlighting its new IVECO App Store, designed to host both its own applications and those of external partners, with remote updates and ever deeper integration of digital tools into operators’ daily activities.

Vehicle uptime at the heart of the strategy

For IVECO, profitability also comes from reducing vehicle downtime. Today, the manufacturer relies on more than 200,000 connected vehicles worldwide, enabling the Customer Uptime Centre to detect anomalies before they become breakdowns. This predictive approach is complemented by a network of more than 2,300 service points, Truck Stations located along Europe’s main transport corridors, and mobile workshops capable of intervening directly at customers’ premises.

A fully embraced Italian identity

Throughout the workshops and demonstration areas, one thing stands out: IVECO is more proudly than ever embracing its origins. The historic blue is gradually giving way to a new visual identity dominated by IVECO Metal Grey, complemented by red accents for diesel vehicles and blue accents for electric models. The interior finishes, the numerous personalisation possibilities and the presence of the Italian flag inside the cab reflect this desire to combine technology, elegance and Italian craftsmanship.

Our first impression

Beyond the numerous technical announcements, this visit to Turin shows that IVECO is seeking to fundamentally transform its relationship with its customers. The truck obviously remains at the heart of the offering, but it is now part of a complete ecosystem combining connectivity, services, support and the driver experience.

It now remains to be seen in real operating conditions whether this promise will translate into the announced productivity gains. One thing is certain: with this 2026 range, the Italian manufacturer is clearly demonstrating its ambition to move up a gear and reposition its brand as a global player in professional mobility.
