Krone and Schwarzmüller: Two Years of Partnership and Synergies That Are Bearing Fruit

Two years after officially announcing their partnership, Krone Trailer and the Schwarzmüller Group are taking stock of a positive first assessment. The two manufacturers have successfully combined their expertise while preserving the identity of their respective brands. The result: new commercial opportunities, an expanded service network, and a collaboration that is expected to grow even stronger.
Complementarities Fully Embraced
The objective set when the partnership was established was clear: to create synergies without calling into question the positioning of the different brands. Schwarzmüller is therefore continuing its development in specialized transport solutions, particularly for light construction, public works and infrastructure, while Hüffermann retains its expertise in hooklift trailers and skip trailers. For its part, Krone brings the strength of its international sales network and its experience in the European trailer market.
First Commercial Successes
This complementarity has already resulted in several projects. One of the most emblematic is the development of a four-axle tipper trailer intended for the Danish market, the result of Krone’s market knowledge and Schwarzmüller’s product expertise.
The cooperation is also extending to the agricultural sector. Certain Schwarzmüller products, including the high-capacity SX aluminium tipper, are now being marketed through the Krone Agriculture network, opening up new commercial opportunities.
A Strengthened Service Network
The two partners have also brought their after-sales activities closer together. Schwarzmüller and Hüffermann workshops are now able to carry out maintenance on Krone products, offering transport operators a denser service network and greater proximity. This development is a concrete illustration of the benefits of this alliance for customers.
An Organization Focused on the Future
Since July 2025, Bastian Litterscheid has held the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and also leads the group’s strategy as the spokesperson for the management board. His mission is to support the evolution of production sites, industrial processes and the organization in order to sustain future growth.
According to Beate Paletar, these first two years demonstrate the strength of the partnership: the cooperation makes it possible to pool expertise while preserving the identity of each brand. Stefan Binnewies shares the same view, emphasizing that this alliance enables Krone to expand its offering in specialized segments without compromising the autonomy and expertise of Schwarzmüller and Hüffermann.
A Cooperation Set to Intensify
Krone and Schwarzmüller now intend to continue this momentum. The next steps will focus on developing new joint commercial initiatives, the gradual integration of their service networks, and the design of solutions tailored to the specific needs of different European markets.
Two years after its launch, the partnership appears to have reached its cruising speed and is demonstrating long-term ambitions.
