An IVECO X-Way 8x4 equipped with a 140-tonne crane has joined the Sauvat Transports fleet.

A spectacular acquisition that illustrates a long-standing partnership between the company from the Var region and the Italian manufacturer.

For more than 60 years, Sauvat Transports has supported professionals in construction, industry and specialized handling. Founded in 1963 by Yvan Sauvat, the family business has become a reference in industrial transport, lifting operations and material supply, now carrying out more than 2,000 operations per year.

At the heart of this success stands a historic partner: IVECO. A relationship that spans generations and continues to grow stronger over the years.

The latest illustration of this long-lasting collaboration is the arrival of an IVECO X-Way 8x4 AS cab equipped with an impressive 140-tonne crane.

This exceptional vehicle, particularly rare on the French market, is intended for heavy lifting operations on major construction sites. Put into service at the beginning of 2026, it has already taken part in several major technical operations, notably the installation of a green roof at nearly 28 metres in height.

Thanks to its power, stability and precision, this X-Way enables Sauvat Transports to further expand its scope of activity in high value-added operations.

Today, the Sauvat Transports fleet includes more than twenty heavy trucks, nearly 90% of which are IVECO S-Way and X-Way models.

Beyond performance, it is above all the robustness of the vehicles that appeals to the company. One example illustrates this particularly well: a Stralis rigid truck equipped with a 35-tonne loader crane, operated for ten years, now shows more than 1.1 million kilometres on the odometer while still retaining all of its original major components.
