The Dutch manufacturer has now announced the full integration of GSVI’s DAF distribution and repair activities into the new organization led by David Gaist.

With this operation, GCA Trucks is making a significant move into the industrial vehicle sector. The general management of this new division has been entrusted to Philippe Canetti, with a strategic presence covering four major French regions: Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Occitanie, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.

A new heavy-duty division for GCA

Already well established in the automotive distribution sector, the GCA Group is taking a new step forward with the creation of its industrial vehicle division. The acquisition of the GSVI network allows the group to significantly expand its territorial coverage and strengthen its presence in the French heavy truck market.

For DAF Trucks France, this evolution is directly aligned with the “DAF Dealer of the Future” strategy unveiled during SOLUTRANS 2025. The manufacturer now aims to rely on groups capable of making substantial investments in infrastructure, workshops, and human resources in order to further enhance the network’s level of service.

Strengthening coverage and service

DAF’s objective is clear: improve territorial coverage and reinforce the quality of service offered to transport operators. The manufacturer is also highlighting its “uptime” strategy, which has become central in the heavy-duty vehicle sector, with the ambition of minimizing vehicle downtime as much as possible.

This expansion notably involves major investments in dealerships, workshops, and maintenance tools to meet customers’ growing expectations in terms of vehicle availability and responsiveness.

An increasingly dense DAF network

Today, the DAF network in mainland France is built around 102 service points spread across the country. This network includes:

  • 17 “DAF Dealer” dealerships dedicated to new vehicle sales
  • 57 authorized repairers
  • 19 agents providing additional territorial coverage
  • 9 TRP locations specialized in multi-brand truck and trailer spare parts

In addition, there is also a dedicated coach and bus network with 31 approved “Coach and Bus” garages.

With the arrival of GCA Trucks within its organization, DAF continues the restructuring of its French network, with the clearly stated ambition of strengthening its field presence and supporting the upgrade of its after-sales services.
