MAN partners with the Porsche Carrera Cup France
Two worlds that seem poles apart — the pure speed of the racetrack and the logistical power of road transport — yet both share the same obsession: performance.
The TGX on the starting grid
At the heart of the operation, a MAN TGX 18.560 4x2 LL SA takes charge of the entire championship's logistics. Its mission: to haul the support semi-trailer carrying the spare parts inventory, and to serve as an organisational hub at every stage of the competition. A discreet but absolutely strategic role — without it, there is no race.
The truck deployed is no conventional model. It features the brand-new MAN PowerLion driveline, with the D30 engine developing 560 horsepower, paired with the TipMatic 14 gearbox and the latest aerodynamic optimisations. Technologies that firmly establish the TGX among the benchmarks for long-distance energy efficiency.
On board, driver comfort has not been overlooked. The vehicle is equipped with the MAN OptiView system — digital mirrors replacing traditional wing mirrors — and MAN ComfortSteering active steering, which significantly eases manoeuvring. Everything needed to eat up the kilometres between circuits without fatigue.
The icing on the cake: an exclusive livery inspired by the Porsche Roughroads – Dakar universe, blending Porsche's motorsport DNA with the ruggedness of the TGX. A wrap that turns heads in every paddock.
A natural alliance within the Volkswagen Group
This coming together follows a natural group logic: MAN and Porsche are both members of the Volkswagen Group.
