Mercedes-Benz Trucks launches the eArocs 400: electrification reaches construction sites

Mercedes-Benz Trucks is taking a new step in electrification with the opening of orders for the eArocs 400 starting in April.

This fully electric model marks the arrival of zero-emission technology in the demanding construction segment.

Designed for urban and peri-urban job sites, the eArocs 400 combines robustness with electric power, offering a range of up to 240 km in tipper configuration and 200 km as a concrete mixer enough for a full working day without intermediate charging.

Under the cab, two 207 kWh LFP batteries (800 V architecture) ensure performance and durability. The truck delivers 380 kW of continuous power (450 kW peak) and is up to 50% more efficient than an equivalent diesel.

Charging performance: up to 400 kW via CCS2, allowing a 10 to 80% charge in around 46 minutes.

Available in 37- and 44-ton (8x4) configurations, the eArocs 400 targets key applications such as tippers and concrete mixers, with a major advantage: silent operation and zero local emissions ideal for urban areas and night-time construction work.

Production is scheduled for Q3 2026 in Wörth, before final conversion by Paul Group.

With this model, Mercedes-Benz Trucks confirms its strategy: electrify every segment, including the most demanding ones, and support the energy transition of the construction sector.
