In an industry where career paths are often long and gradual, some entrepreneurs are shaking up the codes.

At TruckStop, we love highlighting passionate individuals and at just 28 years old, Maxence is part of this new generation of transport operators who combine ambition, passion, and attention to detail.

At the head of his own company for several years now, he is developing a fleet that reflects his image: professional, consistent… and deeply rooted in truck culture.

A calling from an early age

For Maxence, transport was never a default choice. It was obvious.

The son of a truck driver, he grew up around trucks and developed a fascination for the profession at a very young age. Right after middle school, he committed to this path by enrolling in a CAP truck driver program at AFTRAL in Poitiers, through an apprenticeship with Transports Jubert. He then completed a vocational diploma in logistics before securing a permanent contract at just 18.

But the ambition was already there. Just a few years later, he took a major step: independence.

“At 20, I started my own business. I wanted autonomy and to build something of my own.”

A growing company

Eight years after launching his business, Maxence now runs a solid operation made up of five tautliner combinations. His activity mainly focuses on groupage of industrial freight, with daily rotations between the Vienne region (86) and the Rhône-Alpes area.

This structure allows him to grow his company while staying closely connected to the field, and to his role as a driver.

A fleet built with passion

From the beginning, Maxence chose to build a coherent fleet, largely centered around Scania, a benchmark brand for many enthusiasts.

His first truck was a Scania R500 V8 Topline from 2012, quickly followed by the purchase of a new model from the same range. Over the years, he gradually built a fleet of several vehicles before recently opening up to another brand with the arrival of a MAN truck, seen as a credible alternative.

A MAN built to the highest standards

Among his recent projects, one marks a real turning point: the preparation of a MAN 18.520, entrusted to Belgian specialist SCT Marro in 2025.

An ambitious project, symbolizing years of hard work.

“It was the culmination of many years of effort.”

The truck was showcased at numerous events across France… until a major achievement. At the 24 Heures Camions du Mans 2025, it was crowned Most Beautiful Truck in France by MAN, a significant recognition within the industry.

“It’s a huge source of pride. A reward after many sacrifices.”

Back to the roots with a Scania Series 4

At the same time, Maxence launched a second project, very different, yet just as meaningful: the complete restoration of a Scania 164L 480 Topline from 2004.

A truck full of history, acquired in 2024 with nearly 2 million kilometers. While the mechanical parts had already been rebuilt, everything remained to be done on the aesthetic side.

For Maxence, this project goes beyond simple restoration.

“This is the kind of truck that made me dream and inspired me to pursue this career.”

A meticulous restoration

For over a year, the truck was completely reimagined in collaboration with his friend Ludo from LPI 86 body shop.

The result: a fully transformed vehicle, now featuring a deep red paint, emblematic of the company, enhanced with black accents inspired by Scandinavian style.

The build includes: • a full chassis cover • integrated storage boxes and fairings • a redesigned rear bumper • a light bar and vertical exhaust stack • a custom exhaust system with dual flaps

The interior is just as impressive. Crafted by DB Concept, it combines black leather and red tones in a Danish-inspired style, with a fully customized finish.

The audio system features high-end equipment, including DD Audio and Audison speakers, along with a Ground Zero subwoofer. A large part of the electrical setup and lighting was installed by Maxence himself, proof of his deep involvement in the project.

Pride in the details

Beyond the overall look, it’s the finishing touches that make all the difference: repainted bolts, highlighted drivetrain components, custom elements… every detail reflects the care put into the build.

“Those are the little details I’m proud to show at events.”

The truck as an extension of oneself

For Maxence, a truck is far more than a working tool.

“It’s an extension of my personality.”

Clean, well-maintained, and visually striking vehicles directly contribute to the company’s image with clients, a fact confirmed daily.

“Clients appreciate it. We’re often told our trucks are always clean.”

A passion that brings people together

Truck tuning also plays a key role in the image of the profession. According to him, this culture helps spark interest among the general public, especially younger generations.

“It fascinates both kids and adults.”

Projects always evolving

As is often the case in this world, a project is never truly finished. Maxence is already planning new upgrades, particularly on details and finishing touches.

At the same time, he aims to increase his company’s presence at events, with plans to attend several truck racing weekends and even go international.

One dream stands out: taking part in the famous Truck Show Ciney in Belgium.

Above all, a human adventure

Behind these projects lies a strong human dimension. Maxence emphasizes the role of his close circle and partners in his journey, particularly Scania Châtellerault, Ludo and Isa from LPI 86, and his partner, who is heavily involved in the company’s development.

A passion just getting started

At only 28, Maxence represents a new generation of transport entrepreneurs capable of combining business performance with a true passion for trucks.

Through his projects, he proves that it’s still possible today to keep truck culture alive blending professional standards, visual identity, and the pure pleasure of driving.

And judging by his journey so far, one thing is certain: this is only the beginning.
