Milence opens a fourth heavy-duty truck charging station in Belgium, in Ghent

Milence continues the deployment of its European charging network for electric trucks with the opening of a new station in Ghent, the fourth in Belgium.

Located in the Port of Ghent, near the Schansakker exit on the R4 and the Volvo Trucks plant, this strategic infrastructure strengthens one of the country’s main logistics hubs.

In its first phase, the station features four high-power CCS charging points delivering up to 400 kW, accessible to all brands of electric trucks. A second phase will introduce the Megawatt Charging System (MCS), capable of charging a heavy-duty truck in 30 to 45 minutes.

This new site is part of the development of the North Sea–Mediterranean Corridor, helping facilitate electric logistics flows between Belgium, France, Netherlands, and Germany. It complements existing stations already opened in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges and Maasmechelen.

Milence is also relying on competitive pricing to accelerate the adoption of electric trucks: in Belgium, the charging tariff is now set at €0.379/kWh (excluding VAT).

This marks another milestone for the joint venture bringing together Daimler Truck, TRATON Group, and the Volvo Group, which aims to develop a pan-European charging network dedicated to zero-emission road transport. ⚡
