Scania France strengthens its teams: two new appointments to lead its regional branches

Scania France continues to structure its sales and after-sales network across the country.

The Swedish manufacturer has just announced two new appointments to head its regional branches, bringing in profiles with strong and complementary experience in the heavy-duty vehicle sector.

Walter Marconnet takes the helm of Scania Centre / Midi-Pyrénées

A notable arrival within Scania France, Walter Marconnet joined the company on March 2, 2026, as Director of the Scania Centre / Midi-Pyrénées branch. With 26 years of experience at Volvo Trucks France, his career in the heavy-duty industry dates back to 1999. Trained at the Mercedes-Benz institute, he began as a technician before steadily climbing the ranks to become site director and later Regional Services Director for Western France. He now oversees three strategically located sites in the southwest and central regions: Villeneuve-lès-Bouloc, near Toulouse, Malemort, near Brive-la-Gaillarde, Boisseuil, near Limoges. Managing a team of around 60 employees.

Abdé Menii appointed head of Scania Bourgogne / Franche-Comté

Appointed on September 1, 2025, Abdé Menii now officially leads the Scania Bourgogne / Franche-Comté branch. With an atypical background, he began his career in 1995 at Groeneveld-Beka as an order picker before quickly moving into commercial roles, eventually becoming Sales Director for the North Africa region. After 24 years within the group, he joined Scania France in 2019 as Head of Business Development for alternative solutions to diesel—directly aligned with the transport sector’s energy transition challenges. He now manages four locations: Dijon, Miserey-Salines, near Besançon, Mâcon, Beaurepaire-en-Bresse With a workforce of around 80 employees.

A network continuing to evolve

These two appointments are part of the ongoing structuring of the Scania France network, which now includes 111 sales and service points across the country, including 47 branches and subsidiaries.

With more than 2,500 employees in France and an assembly plant in Angers, the manufacturer continues to invest in its teams to support the growth of its product ranges and service offerings.
