Daimler Truck presents the Mercedes-Benz Arocs and Zetros at the World Defense Show

Daimler Truck is actively pursuing its growth strategy in the defense sector. On the occasion of the World Defense Show in Riyadh, one of the Middle East’s major security and defense exhibitions, Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks is showcasing a selection of vehicles from its defense portfolio from February 8 to 12.

In the outdoor exhibition area, two trucks specifically designed to operate in hot, sandy, and dusty environments are on display: a Mercedes-Benz Zetros 4051 AS 6x6 and a Mercedes-Benz Arocs 4663 AS 8x8. Indoors, Mercedes-Benz teams welcome visitors to answer technical, commercial, and service-related questions.

Thanks to its industrial capabilities and expertise, Daimler Truck is able to respond quickly and flexibly to the needs of the defense sector. Production is notably based at the Wörth am Rhein site in Germany and Molsheim in France, as well as through local CKD assembly operations in numerous countries, in partnership with specialized players. This organization ensures tailor-made solutions and a high level of operational availability.

With a long-standing presence in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, Daimler Truck relies on a strong distribution and service network. In Saudi Arabia, the manufacturer works closely with JIPCO (Juffali Industrial Products Company), a long-term partner, notably through the NAI joint venture for the local assembly of Mercedes-Benz trucks.

In the military field, Daimler Truck positions itself as a global supplier, offering a comprehensive range from the ultra off-road Unimog and Zetros to the Atego, Actros, and Arocs, as well as heavy-duty tractor units. Available configurations range from 4x2 to 8x8, with or without protected cabs, and comply with Euro III to Euro VI standards.

Focus on displayed vehicles:

• Zetros 4051 AS 6x6: bonneted all-terrain tractor, OM 460 Euro V engine delivering 510 hp, Allison automatic transmission, load capacity of up to 120 tonnes, and winching equipment rated up to 70 tonnes.

• Arocs 4663 AS 8x8: heavy-duty all-terrain tractor, OM 473 Euro V engine producing 625 hp with 3,000 Nm of torque, towing capacity of up to 250 tonnes, Powershift 3 transmission, and turbo-retarder clutch designed for extreme loads.
