With its SUMS Service Suite solution, the German supplier offers trailer manufacturers a real management tool to meet new regulatory requirements regarding software update management.

Until now, software updates were largely controlled by suppliers. With the arrival of the R156 standard, everything changes. Responsibility now shifts to manufacturers, who will have to ensure full monitoring of updates throughout the entire vehicle lifecycle.
In concrete terms, it is no longer about certifying a vehicle once and for all, but about guaranteeing continuous compliance, with documented, traceable, and auditable processes.
A complexity specific to the trailer world
The challenge is even greater for trailers. Multiple suppliers, interventions in independent workshops, frequent modifications of parameters such as braking or pressure settings… all of these elements are now considered software updates.
