FAST Transport: When the Truck Becomes a Signature
Specializing in the transport and delivery of heavy vehicles across Europe, the company has made truck customization a genuine hallmark. A philosophy reflected not only in the fleet itself, but also in the passionate drivers behind the wheel.
A company born from a vision
The story of Transports FAST began in September 2014, when two enthusiasts decided to turn their vision of road transport into a company. Very quickly, the business specialized in the European transport and convoying of heavy vehicles, a demanding sector that requires specialized equipment and precise logistics.
But for the founders, a truck shouldn’t just be efficient—it should also reflect the company’s identity and the passion of the people who drive it.
Passion for trucks at the heart of the company
Today, Transports FAST relies on a team of six drivers, all united by the same passion for the road and for beautifully prepared truck combinations.
Within the company, customization isn’t a minor detail—it’s a true internal culture. Management supports each driver in preparing their vehicle, from choosing accessories to defining the overall look and optimizing equipment.

Virgil, driver and road enthusiast
Among the company’s drivers, Virgil perfectly embodies this spirit.
Originally from Romorantin-Lanthenay, this 30-year-old driver has been traveling Europe’s roads for nearly a decade. He started his career in car transport, where he worked for five years before moving into heavy vehicle transport.
“What made me want to do this job is the travel, the discovery, and the passion for the road.”
For the past five years, he has been driving across Europe for Transports FAST and says he feels completely at home in the role.
“I enjoy representing the company’s image and covering the miles every day.”
His routes have taken him across much of Europe, including the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and Slovenia. But his favorite destinations remain the Nordic countries.
“Denmark and Sweden are paradise—there are beautiful trucks everywhere.”
An Actros MP5 that reflects its driver
Since September 2025, Virgil has been driving a Mercedes-Benz Actros MP5 GigaSpace rated at 530 horsepower.
The choice came naturally for its comfort, especially thanks to the SoloStar cab, which is highly appreciated during long periods on the road.
Originally, the truck was completely stock. The goal was clear: create a combination that was simple, elegant, and recognizable.
“The idea was to keep it simple but remarkable—adding just what’s needed, exactly where it’s needed.”
A custom preparation
Several elements were added to refine the truck’s appearance:
- chassis covers
- lighting support bar with integrated lights
- spoiler
- sun visor
- roof sign
- auxiliary driving lights
- side bars under the fairings
- double and tinted lights
The custom parts and metalwork were produced by LR Dépannage, while the paintwork was handled by SIP Carrosserie in Clermont-Ferrand.
Some fiberglass parts and the spoiler come from Solarguard, while the driving and work lights are supplied by Lazer Lamps, both of which supported the project.
Most of the lighting uses Ledson equipment, and the roof bar and sign were supplied by FC Promotion in Toulouse.
Another unique detail: Virgil carried out much of the installation and electrical work himself.
A detail that catches the eye
Despite the deliberately understated preparation, one element particularly stands out: the bumper installed on top of the cab.
“That’s the detail I’m most proud of.”
The interior of the truck is still being prepared, a project Virgil plans to complete gradually on his own.
A showcase for the profession
For the driver, customizing a truck goes far beyond aesthetics.
“It’s a passion, but it’s also a showcase for the company.”
According to him, a well-prepared truck helps enhance the image of the truck driving profession, even if it doesn’t always reflect the realities of everyday work.
“Clients often react by saying: ‘Wow, what a truck!’ They say it’s both simple and very well prepared.”
Heading to truck shows
For the upcoming season, Virgil hopes to present his Actros at several events, including the Strol Motor Show and Bletterans.
He has also applied to participate in the Championnat de France Camions, which takes place on several French circuits: Dijon, Le Castellet, Magny-Cours, Nogaro, Le Mans, and Albi for the final.
These gatherings are organized under the patronage of TruckStop, a major partner of the events.
The road as a field of passion
One thing is clear after this immersion: Virgil’s Actros MP5 perfectly embodies the spirit of Transports FAST—passion for trucks, pride in the profession, and attention to detail.
On Europe’s highways and in truck show parking lots alike, these trucks remind us that road transport can also be a story of style, identity, and above all, passion.
