FLO Group

Training, recognition of drivers and pooling resources: during its press briefing at the Technotrans trade show, the FLO Group presented its priorities for supporting its member companies. Its conviction: service quality depends first and foremost on the people within the network.
Independent, but united to make progress together. This is the direction championed by the FLO Group, which brings together 94 French companies. Faced with changes in the sector, the network intends to make experience-sharing a driver of progress for its members, both on human resources issues and on investment and purchasing.
This ambition is reflected in particular in the development of FLO Academy. Recruitment, retention, passing on expertise, supporting managers and developing skills: the initiative is intended to meet companies’ practical needs while encouraging the sharing of best practices within the group.
A trophy to put drivers in the spotlight
The second edition of the FLO Drivers’ Challenge illustrates this commitment to recognising the profession. It brought together 61 male and female drivers from 23 member companies, divided into three categories: long-haul drivers, short-distance drivers and rigid truck drivers.
At the end of a five-month competition, the Drivers’ Trophy recognised the winners in these three categories, highlighting professionals able to combine performance, optimised driving and compliance with safety rules. Participants were assessed on eco-driving, body movements and posture, as well as corporate social responsibility. Nine finalists then competed in the final safety and driving events, with AFTRAL as a partner for this edition.
Beyond the rankings, FLO wants to make visible the skills demonstrated every day on the road. The challenge also enables drivers to meet one another, share their experiences and have their professionalism recognised. This approach embeds service quality in everyday practices, with male and female drivers taking centre stage.
Pooling resources while preserving independence
The group is also continuing to develop its partnerships. Its portfolio includes 45 partners and is expected to reach 47 by the end of the year, with the announced arrival of an additional vehicle manufacturer and a temporary staffing specialist.
The principle is to negotiate technical and commercial terms accessible to members, who retain their freedom of choice. According to the figures presented during the press briefing, approximately three million euros in year-end rebates are paid back to them annually, in addition to the other negotiated benefits.
Electrification, decarbonisation, equipment and digital tools are among the needs these agreements are intended to address. For FLO, the strength of the collective must therefore support companies’ performance while preserving their autonomy. The guiding principle remains the same: improving skills and practices to strengthen service quality.
