Krone strengthens its Cool Liner: the refrigerated semi-trailer is built to last

Reinforced structure, optimised floor and improved sealing: the German manufacturer focuses on targeted upgrades to increase durability and reduce operating costs in temperature-controlled transport.
Krone upgrades its Cool Liner: tougher, more durable

In refrigerated transport, reliability is everything. And at Krone, that message has been heard loud and clear. The German manufacturer is introducing a new generation of its Cool Liner refrigerated semi-trailer — a model with a well-established track record on European roads. There is no sweeping overhaul here, but a targeted evolution where it truly matters: robustness, sealing, and durability.
The insulated structure has been redesigned with a new approach to the walls, roof and floor, improving overall rigidity and resistance to the stresses of daily use. The most heavily loaded areas — particularly the floor and the interfaces with the side walls — have been reinforced to better withstand intensive loading and repeated forklift traffic.
At the rear, Krone has also revised the corner geometry and strengthened certain areas of the door frame to reduce mechanical stress and maintain long-term sealing performance. The floor, meanwhile, features a new cross-member architecture designed to distribute loads more evenly while preserving a high load capacity.
These upgrades come alongside additional technical refinements: new edge profiles, optimised seals, and a redesigned cable routing system to simplify the integration of optional equipment and telematics solutions.
With this new Cool Liner, Krone is not looking to reinvent the wheel. The objective is clear: to make an already trusted workhorse even more reliable, giving hauliers a refrigerated semi-trailer capable of handling the demands of the road while keeping operating costs down over time.
