Robineau-Calvet – a final duel for the title

The 2026 FFSA French Truck Racing Championship will deliver its verdict.
Published on October 6, 2026 by Matthieu EBERLIN

This weekend (10 & 11 October), the Albi circuit hosts the sixth and final round of the season. And after five particularly hard-fought events, everything remains to be decided between Thomas Robineau (#75 - MAN) and Téo Calvet (#20 - Freightliner).

Since the beginning of the season, the two men have gone blow for blow. Téo Calvet struck first by winning the opening round in Dijon. Thomas Robineau immediately responded at Le Castellet before going on to claim a second consecutive victory at Nogaro. Calvet then took back the lead at Magny-Cours in spectacular fashion: four races, four victories and a Grand Prix won hands down. A demonstration that allowed him to arrive at Le Mans with a 30-point lead over his rival.

Le Mans turned everything upside down

But the 24 Heures Camions completely reshuffled the cards. Despite taking both pole positions and winning the first two races (including the night race), Calvet lost everything in the third round after being hit by José Sousa (#22 - Freightliner). Robineau took advantage of this to win and ultimately claim the Grand Prix in front of his home crowd. The driver of the No. 75 MAN therefore left Le Mans leading the championship, with a 12-point advantage over Téo Calvet.

Everything will therefore be decided at Albi. After sharing the first five Grands Prix of the season (three for Robineau, two for Calvet), the two men have one final opportunity to make the difference. With four races on the programme and only a 12-point gap, no waiting strategy seems possible. The battle that has driven the championship since Dijon will reach its conclusion in the Tarn.

André has the advantage for 3rd place

While the battle for the title will obviously be at the centre of everyone’s attention, the fight for 3rd place also promises to be interesting. Jonathan André (#44 - MAN) seems to be best placed to claim the final step of the podium, especially as he is coming off a strong 3rd place in his most recent outing. But Raphaël Sousa (#21 - Freightliner) is coming in fast: 2nd at Le Mans, he moved from 6th to 4th place in the overall standings and is enjoying a strong end to the season. Lionel Montagne (#40 – Renault Trucks) and Anthony Robineau also remain in contention, even if the latter is further behind. The driver of the No. 8 MAN will also have to look in his mirrors, as Ivan Rodrigues (#94 - MAN) is only 11 points behind.

A tight battle for the top 10

A real highlight of the 24 Heures Camions, Race 4 saw Aurélien Hergott (#10 - DAF) claim the first victory of his career. Firmly established in 8th place in the overall standings, he now seems difficult to dislodge. Behind him, however, nothing has been decided yet. Matthieu Bernard (#89 - MAN) made a strong move at Le Mans, gaining three positions to break into the top 10. José Sousa remains in contention, as does Yorick Montagne (#24 – Renault Trucks). Lucas Rivals (#15 – Renault Trucks) also intends to play his hand. At home, the Albi driver will be keen to make amends after missing out on his event in the Sarthe. For everyone, every point will count and the order could still change right up to the final corner of the season.

Further down the standings, there will also be accounts to settle. From the middle to the back of the field, several positions can still change hands and everyone will want to finish the season on a high note. With objectives at every level of the grid, the spectacle promises to be spectacular at the Albi circuit for this final meeting of 2026.
